The work of Luisa
Richter has been characterized for her uniform and consequent
path through the time. Traces, colors and composition shows
a well-defined personality that reveals strokes and peculiarities
from a life dedicated to art. Her work goes far away from the
artwork itself, much more, showing intimacies of her reflections.
Richter's work has
been shown widely since 1952 in an ample number of solo and
group shows, in museums and galleries in Venezuela, United States
and Europe. She has also been awarded with many distinctions
and honors. In Venezuela she received twice the "National
Prize Award", in 1967 for her work in drawing and later
in 1982 for her paintings. In 1978 she was selected to represent
the country in the "Venice Biennial".
